UPCOMING PROGRAM
Jack Misiura, Chairman of the Board, Sandy Springs Conservancy

On December 6, 2021, Jack Misiura, Chairman of the Board of the Sandy Springs Conservancy, will speak to the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs. From the website, "Our mission is to build partnerships that create, conserve, and connect parks and greenspace in Sandy Springs. We strongly believe that parks, greenspace, and trails are economic engines that will help transform Sandy Springs from a place to go through to a place to go to. Even as the second largest city in the metro Atlanta area, we want Sandy Springs to continue to offer the natural charm we all enjoy. The gift of greenspace will enhance our community for generations to come! The Sandy Springs Conservancy was established in 2001 in a grass-roots effort by citizens to preserve rapidly disappearing greenspace and recreation areas in Sandy Springs. Before Sandy Springs was even a city, there was the Sandy Springs Conservancy. Now, we are a non-profit corporation recognized as a charitable service organization under the Internal Revenue Code (section 501c). We understand how parks, greenspace, and trails have key roles in shaping successful cities’… They have economic value as they increase property values They offer recreation to improve health They promote environmental protection They enhance quality of life."
